GoRuck: Building an Iconic Brand Based on Community | Jason McCarthy

As a former Special Forces Operator, Jason originally began GoRuck to create go bags, bags prepped with essential items to prepare for emergencies. Not only did he create quality bags, but the company grew into something with a much larger impact.
GoRuck now creates gear and apparel as well as hosts events, build teams and strengthens communities. Their goal is to empower individuals from all walks to lead active, engaged lives.
This week on Small Business War Stories, Jason McCarthy joins us in Austin, TX.
Three reasons to tune in this week:
- Learn how Jason built this company with little understanding of manufacturing, advertising, or sales.
- Realize how GoRuck is changing the world through their unique view.
- Learn the way GoRuck challenges others to grow through their events.

This episode is part of the Soul of America tour sponsored by Freshbooks. During October 2017, I took my second tour of America. I drove with my puppy Muddy Waggers, my guitar, and my podcasting equipment with the goal of recording podcast episodes with small business owners throughout the heart of America.
